Fire and Ice Holidays

Happy Holidays to all! It has been quite a year and hope you all got through your exams with high scores and all your present shopping is slowly coming to an end as your home and tree get decked out for the holidays. This might be the last post for the year of 2013 and we will see you next year in 2014. Before we leave, we have a few holiday specials in theaters. The title "Fire and Ice" seems to be the dominant theme for this year's holiday films. So here is a list of some of the blockbuster films that may interest you and your family.

Marvel's Thor 2: Dark World continues the adventure of Thor, Loki, and Jane Foster through Asgard and London facing the threat of dark elves.

Catching Fire is the sequel to The Hunger Games. Katniss and Peeta realize that it isn't so easy to leave the games behind especially when they are to enter again in the 75th Quarter Quell in the beginning of a revolution.

Disney's latest animated feature film Frozen tells the story of sisters dealing with not just their opposite personality, but an icy secret that unleashes upon their beloved kingdom of Arendelle.

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug continues the story of Bilbo, Thorin, Gandalf, and company in their journey to Erebor to at last defeat the dragon Smaug, while another threat is slowly unveiling.

Disney's other film Saving Mr. Banks is based on a true story on not just the making of Disney's most beloved films Mary Poppins, but the truth behind the character herself.

Catching Fire, Frozen, and The Hobbit tend reflect the fire and ice theme. These are not the only films, but a few highlight ones not to miss out on. So enjoy your holidays with these wonderful films and see you all next year.
